While walls traditionally define space, open areas also require methods for functional division. Room dividers address this need, but their designs often follow similar principles. This project explores furniture that not only physically divides space but also creates a psychological sense of separation.
The XYZ room divider is a unique design constructed from linear elements oriented along the x, y, and z axes. Positioned in a desired location, it establishes both visual and psychological boundaries, effectively dividing the space. Additionally, it can function as a conventional room divider by incorporating panels between each axis.
